Close in Platform fishing in La GOM

They are doing real good right now with big white trout and snapper with the occasional grouper thrown in fishing the bottom off of any of the Main Pass 299 structures out of Venice, La. This is for all of you who don't want to ride 3 or more hours out and just want a day of fishing. If you are not familiar with the GOM block maps this is the old Freeport McMoran sulpher mine in about 200 ft of water just out of the mouth of the MS river 37 miles from Venice,La. Of course they also have lots of ling(cobia) and other odd species that will take your bait and as always it's a surprise what comes up so hang on and good fishing!
